Collaborations & Community - Together we can make our dreams come true!
Art Challenge 4 Kids is the brainchild of Laura Lea and Rachel Gale, designed to encourage children between the ages of 3 - 16 to interact with artists around the world and try their hand at practising different mediums and styles of artwork during the lockdown and beyond to open the world beyond the four walls of quarantine.
Children need to expand their imagination and that has never been more important then during this crisis. Each week an artist will set a challenge and we invite children to submit their efforts to be profiled on our website and social media. A prize is up for grabs every week with a winner picked each week however, this is totally free and for everyone to participate in order to give the children a sense of pride and community.

"My 'pipsqueak' story began while pregnant with my son and struggling to find the exact bedding I was looking for. I wanted to create a hand-printed children's range that was fun and fresh, bringing together my love of white spaces, a minimal design aesthetic, and carefully selected colours. We spend so much time in our children's rooms; settling our children to sleep, reading stories, cuddles before bed, not to mention the time spent creating their beautiful bedrooms."

In this first story, the children at number 6 Lavender Lane are keeping themselves busy by making bird feeders with their Mummy. At the same time, a little baby blackbird is getting ready to make his first trip out of the nest. The first story in the series, Billy and the Bird feeder is a story of adventure, friendship and the unshakeable feeling of well-being when humans connect with the nature around them.
Inside this beautifully illustrated book you will find a step by step guide of how to build your own bird feeder, a guide to British Garden Birds, as well as exclusive access to a downloadable “Garden Bird Detective” colouring-in sheet.
