This is me, Rachel Gale - freelance illustrator, mother and small business owner. I work from my home studio in Frome, Somerset with my partner and young daughter.
I love to draw.My inspiration comes from anything and everything around me. From nature, animals and patterns to food and hand drawn typography - creating designs which make people smile is my passion! I adore pattern, typography and a bold use of colour. I create vibrant, fun and characterful illustrations that are playful and strong.
Each product starts on the drawing board. I work with diverse media. From traditional pencil to digital. The brand originated from a range of animal postcards and grew from there. Mr Bear quickly became very popular so I launched my first baby gift - the Mr Bear Babygrow! Made with the softest organic cotton, and screen printed with my original line drawing.
Every design is unique, making these items extra special. My designs are fresh and friendly with parenthood-inspired sentiments. They are printed in the UK using eco-friendly inks. From the drawing stage and sourcing to the packaging and posting, I strive to offer the best quality products with a speedy and friendly service to go with it, not to mention lots of love and care thrown in!
